During the session, our Registered Nurse will apply a heat pack to your lower back or abdomen to reduce cramps and bloating. She then focuses on stress relief via the neck, shoulders, abdomen, lower back and the bottom of the feet using a blend of aromatic essential oils. This helps to ease the symptoms of the monthly menstrual cycle and allows you to feel more grounded, relaxed and in a better mood. Some women find that the moon cycle massage helps to completely alleviate the pain and discomfort associated with menstrual cramps.
PMS can be a very difficult and stressful time for many women. Starting around a week or two before your cycle or menstrual period, your body undergoes many hormonal changes which oftentimes causes physical strain and mental discomfort. A monthly cycle doesn’t have to be a time of discomfort, but for many of us it does pose a challenge to our mental and physical balance.
During this period, which usually lasts around six days, can be characterized by headaches, acne, tender breasts, irritability, mood swings, bloating, cramping and physical exhaustion. Sometimes these symptoms are minor and easily manageable, and at other times can be so severe that they make life and relationships pretty miserable.
